Mobilizing Opposition to the Proposed Office/Retail Development and Gated Community
Our purpose is to mobilize residents of Brighton, NY against rezoning to allow the construction of a gigantic (one million square feet) hotel/office/retail complex at the intersection of Winton Road and Interstate 590. We believe that the hotel/office/retail complex will be an unnecessary eyesore that will clog Winton Road with traffic. Density of the project is over twice that projected for this area in the Brighton town plan of 2000.
